Subtle variations in color, impression ect are not defects, but a part of what makes letterpress beautiful. Colors may vary from monitor to monitor. We do our best to represent actual color in our photographs of our work, but can not guarantee it. Please order samples of our letterpress to touch and feel the actual letterpress work.

Color matching: We do our best to match colors for you, however ink on a letterpress is transparent so may appear lighter. Cotton paper also tends to pick sometimes and can make some colors look lighter. Also subtle variations in color among the pieces may occur. If exact color is very important please discuss it with us and send a physical sample of what we are aiming for so we can get as close as we can! We can match PMS colors as well. Some colors are harder to mix than others, we get really close, as close as we can! If an exact match is required please do send us a physical sample of the color and discuss the options for matching that color. Colors on your monitor are not neccesarilly accurate, if sending us an image from the web to match keep in mind it may not look the same on our monitor as on yours. We can not be responsible for matching colors from the web, though we are happy to do our best!

Plates: You can buy your customized plates as a souvenir if you like, convo us! The cost covers cleaning them up and shipping them.

About cotton paper: cotton paper is beautiful but sometimes does not cut as cleanly as other paper, it can have little pieces attached to the cut edges (most of which rub right off) and due to the softness of it it can sometimes leave little imperfections when corner rounding or cutting. These are not defects they are just what happens with a very soft all cotton stock! Cotton paper also tends to pick sometimes and can make some colors look lighter.
