About the Ladybug Press

The Ladybug Press is located in Boise, Idaho. We pride ourselves in making functional art, made to be used and enjoyed not just looked at! All our products feature original designs and are made in our studio with care. We are artisans and strive to make products that make our customers smile!
We specialize in letterpress and screen printing. We also offer custom design and printing or we can print your already designed files.

Ladybug Press is an environmentally conscious studio. We use salvaged inks and 100% tree-free cotton papers or recycled papers. All of our paper scraps are used for other products, reused for setup prints, made into paper, or recycled. We always use recycled packaging materials whenever possible! It’s good to be green!

We ship internationally!

"The Blue Beast," our workhorse
Our letterpress is a blue, vintage old style Chandler & Price, it is almost 100 years old and it's heavy! What we love about letterpress is that you can feel the printing pressed into the paper, it creates an invitation or personal announcement that is more tactile than flat modern printing. We lovingly feed each piece by hand one at a time, it allows us to print on papers that typically cant be printed on such as deckle edge hand made paper and super thick stocks.

Angela R. Stewart, Owner, designer & press operator
I am a graphic designer that loves to make things, I fell in love with printing long ago. I got my first letterpress in 2008. In 2011, I built a new studio space and upgraded to a bigger letterpress. In 2016, I expanded the studio again this time adding a small screenprinting press. Designing our lines of greeting cards, coasters, notebooks, tea towels & other goodies is one of my favorite things. I feel very fortunate to love what I do, and I think it shows in everything we create in our little studio. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Boise State University.
